6 Rules of Commercial Music Success

EPR Artist Radio

Original article by Music Biz Academy link

Over the years I have had many conversations with music artists about commercial music, which usually leads to them disclosing their disdain and hatred of it. Some refer to pop music (pop, as in what’s popular now) as commercial music. Others think of anything that is receiving heavy rotation on radio as commercial music. Whatever their definition, one thing is often overlooked: commercial music is the heart of the music industry which pumps the blood that keeps it alive.

So why then are so many music artists resistant to making commercial music? The answer that I’m often given is because they don’t want to “sell-out” their creative integrity by conforming to some industry version of what’s popular (i.e. what’s selling). It becomes very obvious to me that the problem is not commercial music, but rather the perception and definition of it.

The misconception is that the music industry created this rigid definition of commercial music. That fallacy is often perpetuated by music artists who or either unwilling or incapable of creating commercially viable songs. The truth is, the public dictates what is commercial, and for decades they have gravitated towards, embraced, and purchased records that adhere to a commercial music format.

If commercial music is the rule for success and sales in the music industry, there are inevitably going to be some exceptions to it, but unfortunately, the tendency is for music artists to try and become the exception, instead of observing the rules and why they exist.

Simply put: the rules of commercial music success have not, and will not change. Not in your life time or your children’s lifetime. They exist because it's human nature to reject the unfamiliar; in the music industry, similarity is the cornerstone of acceptance. This is why so many popular songs sound similar and contain familiar elements. It’s a rule that is prevalent in every genre, and on every continent.

There are those artists who do a masterful job of observing their own artistic values while delicately balancing the demands for commercial music by industry professionals.

Artists such as Prince, Sting and Bjork, have pushed the envelope of creativity for years. But artists of their caliber who possess such sublime talent and vision are rare.

For the sake of clarification and argument, I will offer my explanation and industry definition of what commercial music is; based on 25 years of listening to recordings as a music lover, music industry professional, and music critic in what I will call, “The 6 Rules of Commercial Music Success.”

They are songs that have the following:

1.) A strong hook/memorable chorus. If no one knows what your song is called, they can’t request it when they hear it on the radio. More importantly, they can’t buy it at retail…or track it down on the Internet to illegally download a copy of it.

2.) Good melody. Commercial music is characterized by good melodies (i.e. verses, choruses, and sometimes bridges that get stuck in your head and make you want to sing-along). What can the top selling hip-hop acts of the last 10 years (Tupac, Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Eminem, and 50 Cent) attribute their success to? Good melodies (not cool beats) that increase the commercial value of their music...thanks largely in part to the king of modern hip-hop melody, Dr. Dre.

3.) Well-Produced. Coming from an r&b background where producers are a pivotal part of commercial music success, I did not realize until I became a consultant that many rock bands don’t utilize, nor value producers like r&b music acts. Perhaps they should since the record company often assigns producers to enhance the performance of songs (through their musical expertise) and enrich the records (through their experience and proficiency in the recording process), ultimately making them more enjoyable to listen to and, you guessed it…more commercial!

4.) Appealing lyrics. The lyrics don’t have to be profound; people just have to be able to relate to them. If you have a way of saying common things in an uncommon way, your lyrics will have an edge over the songwriter whose song is about the same topic. Write about what’s closest to your heart for credibility and sincerity, and others will be able to relate to your songs – especially if it’s on a subject matter that they know or will experience.

5.) Keep it short. Keep the length of your songs down to a maximum of four minutes. Jazz and World Music are exceptions. A song that is well written makes people want to hear it again, and again, and again. The longer the song is, the less likely that will happen. Don’t believe me? Check the length of your favorite songs.

6.) Well-Performed. Most outstanding vocalists are often surprised by how low this rule is on the list. The fact is that there are more mediocre songs performed by outstanding vocalists, than there are mediocre vocalists performing outstanding songs. A good song that is well-performed gives it an edge, but if the song is lacking, all of the yelling and vocal acrobatics that singers tend to use to compensate for it, will not make it a better song….though it may help the singer to attract better songwriters to work with.

Now that you know the 6 rules of commercial music success, hopefully you will be able to use this information to your advantage and create songs that will increase your chances of success in your professional music endeavors…or you can ignore them and continue to wonder why no one (other than your friends and family – all of which listen to commercial music) like your songs.

Interview With Lj Da Rappah

1. Where are we talking from today?

We are talking from Tacoma, Washington.

2. How did you get involved in music?

I first got into music when I was 13. I was a poet, but I didn't realize how much potential I had back then. Over time, I turned my poetry into raps. Because I have seen how much money can be made off rap, I prepped myself just in case this day happen.

3. Can you describe your music?

First, let me say Lil Wayne is my favorite rapper of all time. He motivated me into what you would call metaphors. They can be difficult at first, but over time it gets easier. It's like breaking down a stone with a pickax, turning it into cement.( Easy flow) lol.

For example...
"Rollin up that sticky/smoking on some fire/ different color weed/call that tie-dye Different color weed/ call that tie-dye."

Which tie-dye is a hippie shirt, designed in the seventies with all kinds of colors. I love how the seventies was, but unfortunately, I'm a eighties baby.

4. Music wise, what are you working on?

Music wise I don't really have a work preference. I just go with what I got. I'm not picky but at times you just to say, "I'll make the best of it, you never know." Take a dive off the cliff, you'll really show potential. My dream would be to work with other artists if I ever get that chance. It's about getting and securing the bag.

5. What would you like to say to your fans and the world?

All I'm going to say to my fans is "look forward to some good ass music!!" Lol, I'm going to make me happy and have it lit.

Check out Lj Da Rappah and his new track "I'm Back."

The Dangers of H.A.A.R.P Blog

The Dangers of H.A.A.R.P
Written by Jasen Keplinger

Ever wonder if there is a weapon stronger or more dangerous than nuclear weapons? Well, in fact, there is and it's called H.A.A.R.P for short.

The abbreviation stands for High-Frequency Active Auroral Research Program and began in 1993. The ionospheric research takes place in Alaska and has been rumored to have fantastic abilities, such as weather control and even mind control. I am going to explore the ten things you need to know about H.A.A.R.P.

1.) Weather Control:
Attempts to change and control the weather have been underway since the 1950’s.(Link 1) Imagine the possibilities: You could make it rain during times of famine, you could divert a hurricane or tornado away from populated areas, or you could increase or decrease the concentration of a particular molecule, like nitrogen or ozone.

However, the same technology that can create such benefits can also be used by nefarious people for much more sinister intentions. It can be used to trigger natural phenomena such as tornadoes, earthquakes, and hurricanes. (Link 1) You should know, however, that the governments using these technologies are very silent on the matter and often say they are harmless and for research purposes only. There are many who don’t believe that.

(Extremely-Low Frequency) radio waves. This is the technology used by H.A.A.R.P and several other stations throughout the world.

B) Chemtrails:
Molecules emitted into the atmosphere from planes. Those molecules can include ice crystals, water vapor, carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, sulfates, and other particles. C) Cloud-Seeding:
Injecting substances into clouds in order to induce rain or suppress hail or fog.

2.) Global Warming:
One of the biggest issues in the world today is global warming. We have experts on both sides of the issue and we have become convinced that the extremities we have experienced in heat, and also cold, are clear indicators the climate is rapidly being altered. H.A.A.R.P. is a war machine created by the U.S. Government in Alaska and other nations around the world not only to extend out the Earth's atmosphere from forty to eighty miles, which now stretches the ozone layer to none existence. (Link 2)
The extra forty miles of earth atmosphere is creating havoc with the climate changes around the world filling in all that extra atmospheric space. The Ozone cannot keep out the sun dangerous rays anymore for most of the sun rays use to bounce off the earth atmosphere, which now the sun has melted most of the snow caps on mountains of the world and a great deal of glaciers of the Arctic and Antarctic. (Link 2)

3.) Mind Control:
The U.S. government has allegedly been working with various ways to achieve mind control including LSD, The Montauk Project, and now H.A.A.R.P. (Link 3) Subliminal words in the correct electromagnetic-field that expresses human consciousness, attuned to the human brain, can enter our minds at a subconscious level. (Link 3)

Our brain activity patterns can apparently be measured and stored on computer by super-computers. If a victim needs subliminal-thoughts implanted, all that is necessary is to capture, save on computer, and target the person’s brainwave pattern to send them such low-frequency subliminal-messages that they actually think it is their own thoughts. (Link 3) The researchers say our brains are so sensitive that they are like liquid-crystal in response to the magnetic component of the earth.

We are sensitive to earth’s magnetic changes, changes in the ionospheric cavity and re-resonate those frequencies ourselves. (Link 3) We are incredibly complex, beyond comprehension and a type of bio-cosmic transducer.

4.) Russian SURA:
SURA ionospheric heating facility is a center of research of the ionosphere located near the small town of Vasilsursk about 100 km east of Nizhniy Novgorod, Russia. (Link 4) SURA is capable of radiating about 190 MW, effective radiated power (PRE) on shortwave. The Sura facility was commissioned in 1981. With the use of this mechanism, Russian researchers study the behavior of the ionosphere and the effect of the generation of emission of low-frequency modulation of the ionosphere. (Link 4)

In the past, American meteorologist Scott Stevens accused Russia of being behind certain activities that could affect the atmospheric activity. (Link 4) Mr. Stevens pointed out that the Russian military specialists were behind the "Fury" of Hurricane Katrina that devastated New Orleans. According to him, Russia has built the secret team to cause a detrimental impact of weather and thus return to Soviet-era of the cold war. (Link 4)

5.)  DNA Changes:
We now know that just as on the internet, our DNA can feed its proper data into a network of consciousness and can call up data from the network and also establish contact with other participants in the network. (Link 5) In addition, there is evidence for a whole new type of medicine in which DNA can be influenced and reprogrammed by words and frequencies without cutting out and replacing single genes. (Link 5)

The human genome is packed with at least four million gene switches that reside in bits of DNA that once were dismissed as “junk” but it turns out that so-called junk DNA plays critical roles in controlling how cells, organs, and other tissues behave. (Link 5) The discovery, considered a major medical and scientific breakthrough, has enormous implications for human health and consciousness because many complex diseases appear to be caused by tiny changes in hundreds of gene switches.

Some scientists have been concerned the use of H.A.A.R.P. technology can actually affect the genetic structures in our body as well as our electromagnetic fields. Can you imagine a future where a technology could easily disintegrate your very physical body with just a beam?

6.) Nikola Tesla:
If you're like most people, you're not sure who Tesla is. Nikola Tesla is arguably the greatest inventive genius of the modern age. That's because he invented most of the technology we depend on every day, like alternating current electricity, the radio, x-ray, and even early H.A.A.R.P. technology. (Link 6) Tesla's inventions and discoveries also formed the basis of modern robotics, radar, wireless communications, and loudspeakers.  Few of these breakthroughs are credited to the inventor, even today.

So, why don't you know about him? Because certain people don't want you thinking about free energy, weather control, the wireless transmission of electricity, or the "death ray". During WWII this death ray was considered by the American government but passed over for the atomic bomb. Some theorize this death ray may have the direct effect of DNA disintegration, mind control, and even control of bodily movement. (Link 6) It is apparent that many of Tesla's inventions and discoveries were developed far after his death and are still being developed and expanded upon today.
7.) Terraforming:
There are many people who have been fascinated by the science of terraforming for a long time. The concept of using science to change the entire atmosphere and biosphere of a celestial body, such as a planet or moon, is a very real possibility for us as a species. The H.A.A.R.P. research and technology enables the manipulation of an environment by directly charging the ionosphere. (Link 7) This, in turn, can create an atmosphere, precipitation, and condensation.  Essentially the idea is to insert the desired elements for the desired outcome. The essence of the program is to change anything in nature on a small or global scale.

The question becomes are we terraforming our own planet Earth? The question has been asked and the answer is yes. (Link 7) Geo-engineering is the wave of the soon to be future. Carbon emissions have placed us in dangerous territory recently and use of H.A.A.R.P. technology to remove these emissions has already begun. Some proponents of this technology estimate that by 2100 we may be removing more carbon from the atmosphere than we produce.(Link 7) This sounds like a great use of the technology for good purposes; however, the potential use of these technologies for war, or worse global destruction, far outweighs the benefits.

8.) Hurricane Katrina:
Hurricane Katrina was one of the costliest natural disasters in US history, costing over $108 billion dollars. (Link 8) Over 1800 people are reported to have died as a result of the Hurricane which swept the Gulf Coast from central Florida to Mexico. Coastal areas were severely hit and thousands of people had their homes destroyed. Up to 80% of city areas ended up being flooded., and many of the deaths were attributed to Levee and Floodwall failure. Up to 60,000 people were stranded in New Orleans, with the coastal guard rescuing up to 33,000.

Some theorize H.A.A.R.P. was used to enhance hurricane Katrina to a category 5 hurricane and that it traveled in a straight line as opposed to most other Hurricanes, which travel in random paths. (Link 8) There is no science to back up these theories. As with most conspiracy theories, David Icke posted an article on his website alleging that Hurricane Katrina was steered into New Orleans. (Link 8) All conspiracy roads lead back to one of two sources, either alien reptiles or Illuminati control. Claims from many theorists indicate that the Illuminati use HAARP as a tool to control the minds of the masses via shortwave radio communication. (Link 8) The counter-argument to this case is that HAARP waves are too short to be measured; However, an extremely well-respected and mainstream physicist Dr. Michio Kaku has publicly stated on CBS News that weather modification is possible by the government. (Link 8) While he does not mention HAARP outright, it may bring the theory a little bit more towards the center.

9.) Haiti Disaster:
The Haiti earthquake was one of the worst natural disasters in recent history and it evoked an immediate response from Hugo Chavez, former ruler of Venezuela. Chavez was known for speaking his mind and stirring up controversy, which is one reason why people speculate about his death. (Link 9) His comments regarding the earthquake that hit Haiti in 2010 were particularly direct; he claimed that the United States Navy induced the Haiti Earthquake using a weather weapon, accusing the United States of “playing God.” A Spanish newspaper quoted Chavez as saying that “the US Navy launched a weapon capable of inducing a powerful earthquake off the shore of Haiti. This time, it was only a drill, and the final target is destroying and taking over Iran.” (Link 9)

This isn’t just crazy talk. Chavez had a long military career and was well respected in his work. He’s also not the only person to suggest that the United States is, and has been, manipulating and controlling the weather for years. For example, in 2010, then-president of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that the High-Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) was responsible for the devastating floods in Pakistan and that Western countries have been causing drought in various parts of the world, including Iran. (Link 9)

10.) The Future of HAARP:
Funded by DARPA, the United States Air Force, and the Navy, HAARP’s projects involve superheating the ionosphere with high-frequency radio waves. This incited the suspicions of physicist Bernard Eastlund and a small group of other scientists in the 1990s, who expressed concern about HAARP’s possible future use as a weapon. (Link 10) Russia also expressed concern and criticized HAARP as a “new integral geophysical weapon.”

The Russian government now operates a very similar facility known as the Sura Ionospheric Heating Facility. Despite the criticism, or because of it, the researchers at HAARP have tried to be more open about their research, stating unequivocally that “there are no classified documents pertaining to the HAARP.” (Link 10) They are adamant that the site is in no way a danger to anyone. Among the stated goals of HAARP are studying how the earth’s natural ionosphere affects radio signals, something of interest to both the commercial and military worlds. (Link 10)

While there is evidence to suggest that HAARP has a potential use as a weapon, one of the stated aims of the project is to generate VLF and ELF (very low frequencies and extremely low frequencies) for communication with submarines, and possible use in remotely searching for mineral content. (Link 10) HAARP recently bounced low-frequency signals off the moon in the “lunar echo” experiment and invited amateur radio enthusiasts to listen in.

H.A.A.R.P. has started a debate in the world over the extreme measures military and technology will take to stay dominant in the world's affairs. Like any great technology, it has the potential for great good or great evil and I hope going over these ten aspects of the program has helped open your eyes and inform you. Monsters of the Southern U.S. Blog

Monsters Of The Southern U.S.
Written by Jasen Keplinger

Monsters have always been part of the folklore in the southern United States. I grew up in the south so I remember most of the monsters discussed here in our countdown. So sit back, relax, and be prepared to learn about ten of the most mysterious monsters of the south.

1) The Fouke Monster

The Legend of Boggy Creek launched a southern monster into the spotlight in 1972.(Link 1) Interest in the Fouke Monster was rekindled in the 1970s as a result of a number of cattle being seemingly slaughtered and eaten in the town of Fouke, Arkansas. (Link 2) Described as hairy and having a distinctive stench, the beast was described as being a circa seven feet tall bipedal humanoid with eyes the size of silver dollars. The movie points out that the alleged monster only has three toes, which separates him from the typical five toes left by similar creatures.

The 1970s weren’t the first time the creature was reported. In 1851, 1856, and 1875, a creature exactly like the Fouke Monster was described as being responsible for the disappearance of cattle in other parts of Arkansas. (Link 2) Since then, dozens of sightings have been reported.

2.) The Pope Lick Monster

The next monster is one of the scariest on our list, to me anyways. It's part man, part goat, and part sheep, the Pope Lick Monster is reputed to live underneath the railway trestle above Pope Lick Creek in Louisville, Kentucky. (Link 3) Legend has it that the monster is either a true human and goat hybrid or a circus freak who spent it's life in torment prior to escaping and now seeks revenge. (Link 3) Still, one other legend says that the monster is a farmer who was reincarnated after sacrificing goats to Satan in exchange for power.

Regardless of its origin, the monster is said to be able to both mimic human voices or put its victims in a hypnotic state in order to lure them onto the tracks and into the path of oncoming trains. (Link 3)

3.)  The Knobby

Often referred to as the Bigfoot of North Carolina, Knobby was given the name because the first sighting around an area called Carpenter’s Knob near Kings Mountain. (Link 4) Knobby was seen by at least a dozen people in the area back in 1979. Here’s how one witness described the creature.

“I saw its eyes first. Then I saw its oval-shaped head. Then I saw the hair hanging off of him about 4 or 5 inches. I saw his left arm bowed out beside of him. I could see every finger and thumb,” said Lunsford. “I never did see it no more and I never did go back looking for it.” (Link 4)

The biggest difference between Knobby and the Bigfoot of the West is that Knobby has blonde hair instead of brown or black.

4.) The Lizard Man of Scape Ore

First spotted in 1988 near Scape Ore Swamp in South Carolina, the Lizard Man is described as being 7 feet tall with three fingers on each of its feet and hands and highly aggressive. (Link 5) During its first sighting, the man who saw it while changing his tire was pursued by the creature and it even leapt onto his rooftop while he drove away. (Link 5)

“I looked back and saw something running across the field towards me. It was about 25 yards away and I saw red eyes glowing. I ran into the car and as I locked it, the thing grabbed the door handle. I could see him from the neck down – the three big fingers, long black nails, and green rough skin. It was strong and angry. I looked in my mirror and saw a blur of green running. I could see his toes and then he jumped on the roof of my car. I thought I heard a grunt and then I could see his fingers through the front windshield, where they curled around on the roof. I sped up and swerved to shake the creature off.” (Link 5)

Other sightings of the creature followed and were consistent, a bipedal lizard creature ranging from green to dark in color with red eyes.

5.) The Big Bird Monster

No, I'm not referring to the big bird on Sesame Street! The Big Bird monster is a giant winged creature first sighted in Texas in 1976 first by two young girls and later by a police officer who claimed the creature was five feet tall with a twelve-foot wingspan. (Link 6) Later on, the same day a father and son who were out fishing saw a creature matching the description of both the officer and the two girls. Here’s just one of several accounts of encountering the creature. (Link 6)

On January 14, 1976, Raymondville, TX resident Armando Grimaldo claimed to have had the most harrowing encounter yet chronicled with this aerial atrocity. According to Grimaldo, he heard a loud flapping sound accompanied by an odd whistling noise while walking outside. Just as he glanced up to find the source of this strange noise a pair of large, talon-like claws grabbed onto the back of his shoulders, tearing his shirt and sending him crashing to the ground.(Link 6)

Many believe “Big Bird” to be one of the Thunderbirds sighted elsewhere in the U.S.

6.) The Skunk Apes

The Skunk Ape or Myakka Ape is a bipedal humanoid, possibly a Bigfoot, reported in the South Eastern United States, most notably in the Florida Everglades. (Link 7)

It has black fur and glowing red eyes, unusual for most primates because most primates lack a tapetum lucidum, a layer of tissue behind the retina that reflects light. (Link 7)

The Skunk Ape's most obvious character is its terrible odor, which gives it its name. Inhabiting Florida, North Carolina, and Arkansas, the Skunk Ape is a bipedal humanoid creature between six and seven feet tall. (Link 7)

7.) The Honey Island Monster

Another variant of Bigfoot under a different name, the Honey Island Swamp Monster was sighted in Louisiana and Mississippi as early as the 1960s by those living in remote bayou communities. (Link 8) A man named Harlan Ford was the first to film the creature on now primitive 8mm film. Described as being near seven feet tall, the creature bears all the descriptive markings of a Bigfoot-like ape. (Link 8)

The Honey Island Swamp Monster is a bipedal ape-like creature said to live in the Honey Island Swamp in Louisiana. It is said to be about seven feet tall and weigh somewhere between 400 and 500 pounds, with gray dingy hair, yellow eyes, and be accompanied by a disgusting smell. (Link 8)

Though it is purported to be a Bigfoot-like creature, the footprint castings that have been collected more resemble alligator-like footprints.

8.) The Wampus Cat

The Wampus Cat of East Tennessee likely has its origins in Cherokee legend where it is said that a young girl once disguised herself in the skin of a cougar in order to spy on the men of her tribe as they sat around the campfire telling sacred hunting stories. (Link 9) Once discovered, the medicine man of the tribe punished her by turning her into a creature that was half woman and half cat.

Descriptions of the Wampus Cat itself vary but the creature is often depicted with two hind legs and four front legs and of greater size than any cougar. The folk legend in East Tennessee says that if you hear the cry of the Wampus Cat then it means that someone nearby will die within the next three days. (Link 9)

9.) The Atamaha-Ha Monster

Near the mouth of the Altamaha River in southeastern Georgia is said to reside a hissing sea monster. Called Altamaha-ha, for the river, or “Altie” for short, the legend predates British-English colonization and is said to have originated with the Lower Muskogee Creek Tribe. (Link 10)

This strange cryptid is described as having a sturgeon like body including a bony ridge on its top. With front flippers and no back limbs, it swims like a dolphin, and has the snout of a crocodile, with large, protruding eyes and large sharp teeth. (Link 10) Its coloring is said to be gray or green with a whitish-yellow underbelly. Reports indicate that it is 20-30 feet long, though some have stated seeing smaller or larger creatures, suggesting that Altamaha-ha is not alone. (Link 10)

10.) The Wild Man of East Tennessee

The origins of the Tennessee Wild Man, or as the local people call him the "Wooly Booger" goes way back to the 1800s in McNairy County, Tennessee. (Link 11) One of the stories is that a circus freak showman somehow captured the beast and put him on display in a cage to where everyone can see him for exploitation until it finally broke free. (Link 11) The description of the Tennessee Wild Man is much similar in appearance to Sasquatch but only more human.

He supposedly has either dark grey hair or dark ginger hair, is about 7 feet tall and is always accompanied by piercing red eyes. (Link 11) It is known to spout out a disturbing war cry that can frighten anyone that hears it and has a horrible smell that's reminiscent of the Skunk Ape. It's very aggressive in behavior and could possibly be the archenemy of Sasquatch ironically, often fighting for territory reasons. (Link 11) Not surprisingly the Wild Man possesses great strength, agility, and speed. There have been many groups of men that went out hunting for the creature but all the times, usually they don't find anything or something traumatizing happens. The monster is known to have a strange targeting obsession with dogs and women. Many women came out to say the Wild Man had attempted to snatch them up and carry them away. It is suspected, however, that these attempts were always unsuccessful. (Link 11)

The southern United States if full of mysterious sightings of elusive monsters. So if you are looking for a place to come face to face with a monster, the south is certainly a good place to start! These creatures leave you wondering what's really out there. Saturn Death Cult

Saturn Death Cults
Written by Jasen Keplinger

Ever wonder what the next biggest conspiracy is? Ever yearn for a theory that could turn all that you know on its head? Well, yearn no longer because Saturn death cults, and the accompanying parts of the theory, are probably the most shocking views on Earth's history you've never heard of. We will explore the ten biggest and most shocking aspects of this theory.

1) Saturn the Brown Dwarf:
This theory suggests that perhaps Saturn was originally a brown dwarf star and that Earth was locked in a polar orbit with Saturn. (Link 1) The gas giant is referred to as the original sun, the primordial sun, and the best sun.

The conjunction between Saturn and Earth was a celestial polar configuration in which Saturn, as a brown dwarf, was locked at the northern pole with Earth. (Link 2) They moved in a spiraling nature upwards while traveling through space moving in and out of our current solar system. (Link 2) Eventually, Saturn would be pulled out of its conjunction and locked in its current position.

2.) The Electric Universe:
Ever wonder if the universe is alive? Well, according to this theory the answer, in a sense, is yes. The idea is that plasma sheaths emanating from some celestial bodies, such as the brown dwarf Saturn, interact with solar heliospheres and electrical space currents. (Link 2) The result is discharged electrical activity that often strikes celestial bodies. Under this theory, the Earth's moon is pointed out as having been struck many times. The claim is that the craters we see there are from electrical strikes mostly instead of meteors.

The intense invisible electrical plasma currents spanning between two bodies is known as the "Birkeland Effect". (Link 4) Under the electrical plasma interactions of a Saturn-Earth conjunction, the gravity would have been different and lesser than today's gravity. This may be why animals and plants in Earth's history were so large and flew easily. (Link 2)

3.) The Early Ages:
The planetary history of Earth has experienced and documented the fossil records with several extinctions. This theory takes this into account and divides Earth's history into several ages. (Link 1) The "Purple Dawn" is the original age in which large dinosaurs roamed our planet. We were still in our original conjunction with Saturn which emitted radiation frequencies that would have given the sky a lowly lit purplish hue. This was before our modern sun graced our skies.

The "Golden Age" saw the rise of mankind on Earth and this was after our modern sun began to shine in our skies. (Link 7) This was the age of civilizations such as Atlantis and Mu which are alleged lost continents in our modern culture. The nasty interactions between Saturn's plasma sheath and the sun's heliosphere would cause worldwide natural disasters which would result in the great deluge or great flood that would end this golden age. (Link 8) The "Silver Age" would follow when the survivors would pull humanity together again. This age saw the rise of priests and priest-kings who would eventually become the churches and blue-bloods respectively. (Link 9) A fascination with monitoring the astronomical movements of bodies became mainstream, as they hoped to foresee any future cataclysms like the great deluge had brought.

4.) The Later Ages:
The modern ages of mankind are called the "Bronze Age" and the "Iron Age". These shouldn't be confused with the historical eras we refer to today. The bronze age of mankind centered on heroic mythology, global commerce, and war. The introduction of money had occurred during the end of the silver age by the priests and priest-kings. (Link 10) The fable of the "Tower of Babel" resulted near the end of the "Bronze Age" with global commerce and war bringing us near destruction. (Link 9)

The "Iron Age" encompasses today and modern society. The rise of industry and technology marks the iron age. The leftover aspects of the silver age's priestly era and the bronze age's war/global commerce era both permeate the iron age's industry/technology era.

5.) The All-Seeing Eye:
Throughout history, the all-seeing eye has been prominent in many cultures, particularly the Egyptian civilization. (Link 2) The origin and source of this eye are addressed under this theory. The "Saturnian" system was originally comprised of three bodies which included: Saturn, Earth, and Mars. (Link 6) These three planets were always in an alignment in which Saturn appeared as a purple-hued sun and Mars appeared in the center of Saturn. This conjunction would have appeared as an eye in the northern skies on Earth.

At this time, the southern hemisphere of Earth was devoid of light and celestial references. The addition of Venus to the Saturnian system, at a later time, would complete the eye by adding what appeared to be the pupil of the all-seeing eye. The newly formed Saturnian system would now include a northern alignment of Saturn as the eye, with Mars aligned as a small iris on the eye, and completed with the small body of Venus as the pupil. This alignment as an all-seeing eye would deeply influence mankind and the memory would become myth and legend, as the "Eye of Horus". The eye even appears on our currency in America. (Link 2)

6.) Plasma-Heliosphere Collisions:
As the Saturnian system moved in and out of our solar system, the plasma sheath that emanated from the brown dwarf Saturn would collide against the heliosphere emanating from our yellow dwarf star we know as the sun. (Link 2) The plasma sheath from Saturn wrapped Earth in an egg-like cocoon and the collisions with the heliosphere of the sun would result in the flaring of Saturn's atmosphere resulting in increased radiation frequencies. These electrical reactions and radiation would scorch Mars atmosphere turning it into today's red planet. (Link 3)

The destructive reactions of these collisions would result in the ripping apart of Saturn and the torn pieces would become Venus (Link 2) and the rings that now surround Saturn. (Link 5) These celestial reactions and results would result in several extinction events on Earth, as well as the great deluge or flood. (Link 8) The reactions of Mars and Venus now orbiting closer to one another would result in a pillar-like stream of light stretching from Mars to Venus and appearing as a bright cross in the skies. (Link 10) This celestial event would be remembered and incorporated into religions, such as Christianity. (Link 9)

7.) Brown Dwarf to Yellow Dwarf:
As the Saturnian system was slowly absorbed into our solar system, the Earth would cycle through having two suns and then just one. (Link 4) We slowly merged from having a brown dwarf star to having a singular yellow dwarf star. During the rise of mankind in the "Golden Age" the Earth was absorbed in light from both suns and thus had two suns. (Link 7)

During the brown dwarf dominance, the Earth was covered in red vegetation and had a much denser atmosphere. The oceans would have been at a much lower level which resulted in more land being available to settle. (Link 2) The flares from Saturn would have initiated several extinction events particularly the dinosaurs. During the yellow dwarf dominance, mammals began to come above ground and evolve, which would lead to the rise of human beings. The vegetation began to turn green and the blue skies we know today began to emerge.

8.) Creation of Venus:
The ancient cultures speak of a "chaos monster" in the skies and the perpetual destruction of parts of Saturn, amongst the creation of Venus, would certainly qualify as a chaos monster in the skies. (Link 2) The Greeks called Saturn, which is the Latin, by the name Kronos, who after being castrated by his son Zeus, would be responsible for the creation of Aphrodite or Venus. This knowledge has passed down to us through legend and folklore. (Link 10)

The creation of Venus would have resulted in many "Birkeland Currents" and much electrical plasma activity. (Link 4) This resulted in the pillar of light emanating from Venus and Saturn, as well as between Venus and Mars. This formed the familiar cross shape in the heavens. The remaining pieces of Saturn would later form the Earth's moon and the rings of Saturn. (Link 9)

9.) Religion and Mythology:
The Saturnian system's metamorphosis from the "Golden Age" into the "Silver Age" deeply impacted mankind, particularly the great deluge that divides the two ages. The post-apocalyptic society of the silver age saw the rise of priests and religion. The Saturn death cult arose during this era with the main purposes of preserving the golden age's knowledge and monitoring the skies for hints of any new disaster. (Link 9) They did both of these through the building of large construction sites such as the pyramids of the world and even Stonehenge.

Religious symbols also arose from the events of the Earth's early history. The eight-pointed star and Jacob's ladder are prime examples.(Link 9) The eight-pointed star emanated from the newly formed Venus in the original Saturnian system. The star would have been seen high in the early skies. This star has made its way into virtually every religion on Earth today. Jacob's ladder could have easily been the pillar of light that connected the electrical fields of Venus, Saturn, and Mars. The cross also came from these light streams and Jacob's ladder was this interaction of lights.

10.) Solar, Lunar, and Stellar Cults:
Early mankind began to form various types of cults centered around various celestial bodies. The creation of the moon and subsequent absorption into Earth's gravitational field inspired the creation of lunar cults where the moon was the center of worship. Goddess based fertility magic was practiced. Solar cults were based around the new yellow dwarf sun and were typically God based and many practiced bloodletting or even sacrifice of humans and animals. (Link 9) The slow takeover of today's sun deeply impacted these cults and the addition of priest-kings and currency pushed the solar cults into the forefront. (Link 9)

Stellar cults were based around the stars in the sky and were typically God and Goddess based. The movement of the stars in the sky deeply drove the stellar cult development. Priests and the earliest astronomers came out of the silver age. During the "Purple Dawn" and "Golden Age" much of the sky was dark and the stars were hidden behind the dense, dark, and purplish atmosphere of Earth. (Link 1) As today's sun took dominance, and Saturn pulled away, the skies were brightened and the night skies were filled with stars. This change impacted human society and stellar cults. The Saturn death cult arose during this era and was later absorbed and imitated into and by other varying cults.

The Saturn death cult theory is a revolutionary way of looking at Earth's history. There are many components to this complex theory and this list is just ten of the most fascinating aspects of the theory. I will go further into this theory and its aspects in subsequent articles. Congratulations to artist A'France and his feature on Hood illustrated

In Preparation for Upcoming EP, A' France Leaks The Single "Curious George v2"

Original article at -

Nashville, TN carries the nickname The Music City. From The Grand Ole Opry House to The Johnny Cash Museum, Nashville has always been heavily engulfed in music and it's history. One of Hip Hop's most memorable Nashville artist was the former G-Unit Comrade "Young Buck."  We rode with him through his hometown he called "Cashville Ten-A-Key" and loved every minute. So whenever we hear of a new artist coming out of Nashville it catches our attention.

Enter up and comer A'France. Born Anthony France, he abbreviated to his first initial, kept his last name and stayed as true to who he really is as he introduced himself to the underground. Prepping to released his untitled debut EP this spring, he decided a leak was in order. The single he choose to drop is called "Curious George v2."  He glides lyrically over the bass hitting with a country drawl and a gangsters testimony. Def a hot intro. Being from where the winters are cold, I'd say the taste I got showed me this is going to be a great project to ride with the windows down and the 15's beating with the bass knob up. Check it out today.

Brandon James sculpts a tender, heartfelt world with “The Divine Collection”. Opting for a series of lovely stories, these thought-provoking pieces linger in the mind. With the utmost of ease, Brandon James brings together classic rock, folk, R&B, and pop into a satisfying powerful whole. Easily the true soul comes from Brandon James’ passionate delivery, with a vocal strength that reveals a wide variety of stylistic flourishes. Going from gentle crooning to outright celebration, Brandon James allows for a great deal of flexibility within the album. Lyrically dreamy, Brandon James weaves an intricate series of thoughtful vignettes on loves both lost and found. Optimism seems to permeate over the course of the album while Brandon James explores lush aural atmospheres.

Things start on a high note with the glistening melodies of “Surreal” where his assured resonant voice leads the way. Stripping things down to the essentials “Drifting” goes for something a little more intimate. By far the highlight of the collection comes with the kaleidoscopic swirl of “There She Goes”. Powerful piano underpins the defiant spirit of “An Underdogs Tale”. Horns punctuate the jazzy take of “How Does It Feel” as things unfurl in an unexpected and playful manner. Embracing EDM to its fullest “Always” exists in a late-night neon hued haze. Neatly concluding the album is the strong communal work of “No More” which celebrates true togetherness.

With “The Divine Collection” Brandon James delves into something so beautiful and so soothing.
