As Rappers Become Rock Stars

Visit us at

Check us out on twitter at #entirelypr

If you remember a time before Facebook, cell phones and Pandora, then this article is for you.

It's hard to believe that it has been 20 something years since Snoop Dog, Eminem and the likes burst on the scene. I remember it like it was yesterday. We were fresh off the coat tails of the grunge and origins of gangsta rap eras. We were hungry for extremes which often meant sex, drugs and violence, America was still on top, it was the 90's. The movies, the music, Bill Clinton, it was a great time to be alive and it was the last great decade.

For those of us who use to listen to music on cassette and CD, we often lost touch with a lot of the music, once we lost the cassette or CD. We might hear the song once in a while on a radio mix, but aside from that, the music was lost. Fast-forward to modern times and you have YouTube, literally a time portal to listen to those songs forgotten with lost cassettes and CDs. I use YouTube for pretty much all my music needs outside of the occasional Pandora. I often take a trip down memory lane, pulling up lost songs and albums from the 90's and sometimes the 2000's. It was on one of these nostalgia trips that I stop and realized, "I am old and these guys I'm listening to at their height when they recorded these great tunes were in their late 20's and 30's making them either dead or really old.

I can't explain the feeling when you're driving down the road and the classic rock station that use to play your dad's tunes, start playing your generations tunes. I swear you can hear the narration from the intro to your grandma's soap operas, “Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.” A crepy hindsight lurks in reminding you that you're officially out of touch with the music and thus the times. To top it all off, all those great rap stars and rock stars from the 90's, start dying off at a sadly drastic rate, reminding you of your own fate. Of course, I am neither a rap or rock star so when I do punch my ticket I don't  think there will be much fuss unlike our late, great rap and rock stars, who are still much adored and missed.

So here we are calling music from the 90's and 2000's classic, and honestly, we should I just hate being old and calling the music I love classic. The interesting thing is the battle-tested and diehard rap and rock stars who are still living and in one form or another still doing their thing. They are no longer rap or rock stars their simply "rock stars," and deservingly so their music along with them have stood the test of time. Now I don't know if being referred to as a rock star when your music and art was from the rap or other genre's is a better honor but the term "rock star" does bring to mind a certain mystique.

@skopemag Gets To Know Nashville’s Iam_Phi

We are so excited today to have an authentic emcee coming out of Nashville, TN by the name Iam_Phi. Iam_Phi is looking to strike a nerve in the digital world with the release of two singles “Still Not Free” and “Lie To Me.” We got to chat with him about Thanksgiving, his music making process, other Nashville artists he respects, and so much more!

Stoli: Where are we talking from today and are you excited for Thanksgiving next week?

Nashville TN yes I am.

Stoli: How does your family celebrate the holidays and what makes a family special to you?

Well most of my family past so I won’t be celebrating unfortunately.

Stoli: Offer us a brief history of how your passion for music became Iam_Phi?

Lost my sports scholarships football basketball and track getting put out of school, went to jail twice being in the streets so I turned to music.

Stoli: Coming up how much were you exposed to music through your home and amongst friends/family?

All the time that’s all my mother did was listen to music an sing.

Stoli: Nashville has a rich history in music like country & hip hop. Who are 2 artists that you respect and listen to?

Kings of Leon and starlito.

Stoli: I am really concerned that Spotify & streaming will make it hard to earn $$ through recorded music. How do you see this?

It’s more ways to make money in this business so I don’t see it affecting the plans we have in motion.

Stoli: When you are going to create new music who do you work with and what kind of environment and mood are you in?

Mostly I work alone with my little brother he is not only my manager but also my engineer I don’t need a certain space or place to create I just create.

Stoli: You have 2 new singles “Still Not Free” and “Lie To Me” that you are putting out. How do you choose these songs and when did you write & record them?

They were written and recorded a few months ago but I felt still not free is needed in America today so that’s my way of giving back and lie to me is about a female so I guess I was in my feelings.

Stoli: I love “Still Not Free.” What does that song mean to you and if you were to do a music video what would that look like visually?

Due to all the police killing our people putting out the truth and waking up our people.. probably would look like a protest of human rights etc that us as a whole weren’t and aren’t allowed.

Stoli: For me, my children inspire me to strive for success, what or who inspires you?

My kids.. the people who believe in me so far as my camp.. the people I lost and me and my drive is the only thing that can’t really help me make it

Stoli: When you are not making music, what else do you attend to?

My kids and doing anything dealing with getting me out.

10 Steps to Success for Indie Artists

visit us on Twitter #entirelypr

Step #1

Realize that no one is waiting for your music. If people are going to become fans of your music, you must approach the promoting of your live shows and the promotion of your CD releases with the same planning and professionalism as the artists whom you admire have promoted their music. Marketing music has changed radically in the age of the Internet and social media. That technology has the potential to take your music to the world. But knowing that it is up to you to let the world know about your music, is an important first step to take as a responsible independent musician.

Step #2

Avoid telling people in the music business that your music is "good". It is a much overused and weak word. A&R reps, music directors at radio stations, the music press, and buyers at distributors and stores presume you think your music is "good," because you put it out to begin with! When they listen to it, they will decide if it is the kind of "good" music that they feel can get behind and be proud of supporting from their position of power in the music industry. And let's face it, it is the public who will ultimately decide if your music is “good” by buying it or not. That’s not say, you shouldn’t talk up your music. But use your words; shape an elevator pitch that accurately reflects what you and your music are about.

Step #3

Use the Internet and all its tools to your advantage. Besides having your own domain name and website where you promote releases and shows, you’ll probably want a presence on the main social media such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. But don’t over-commit your time. If you spend all day working on social media, what happens to your music? It’s better to skip some social media rather than do a poor or infrequent job of staying in touch with your fanbase. And of course, you’ll want to make access to your music easy through YouTube, SoundCloud, iTunes Store, CD Baby and the like. Last, but definitely not least, build and use an email list to stay connected with your fans. Permission-based marketing using emails to your fanbase is a proven winner—these are folks who said they wanted to stay in touch!

Step #4

Thank people who help you. You might be surprised how often music reviewers, DJs at college radio stations, and club bookers don’t get thanked by artists. So, make their day by sending a card, a small thank-you gift, or simply by giving them a shout out on the tray card of your next CD. Some artists tend to feel they are owed something because of their talent. Guess what... they aren't. Being grateful and thankful are essential qualities for success. Cultivate them and watch the doors open.

Step #5

Play gigs outside of the usual clubs that cater to your genre of music. Branch out a bit, consider gigs at schools, fairs, festivals and perhaps parks in the summertime. So many artists think that the only valid venues to play are the clubs. Look around, start noticing where you see performers playing music, and ask yourself if that venue isn't a valid one for you. Give your fans more than one place to see you perform while finding new followers. And at every gig, be sure there is an email signup sheet. Did I mention staying in touch with fans via emails is golden?

Step #6

Listen to other kinds of music beyond your own particular genre. There is much to be learned from other styles. All music offers a vast reservoir of new melodies and rhythms to experiment with, and to incorporate into your unique sound. If the future of music promises anything, it is the ongoing mix of old and new styles coming together in profoundly new ways.

Step #7

Remember that the record labels don't know what they are looking for, but with any luck, they will recognize it when they hear it. Work on developing your own signature sound rather than trying to shape something to please A&R people or future fans. Strive to find your own true identity through your music. And don’t feel like that once you’ve established a musical identity that it need be set in stone. Great artists such as Bob Dylan and Neil Young have continually reinvented their personas and music throughout their careers.

Step #8

Create great graphics. How many logos do you have in your brain right now that are recognizable symbols for legendary bands? You want to build the same kind of “brand awareness” for your music by creating a memorable logo and graphics. Make sure the logo is legible/identifiable in a wide range of sizes and that you use it everywhere your name appears: posters, flyers, press releases, letters, business cards, stationery, websites, and CD covers.

Step #9

Stop making the same foolish mistakes over and over. Insanity has been described as repeating the same habit continually while expecting a different result. As a musician you may find yourself not wanting to rehearse, yet frustrated that your musical abilities never progress. Or, as a songwriter, you may get upset when you keep backing yourself into a corner with an awkward rhyme scheme, yet find yourself continuing to use it. All of us at times get trapped in creative dead-ends, but the way out is not through repeating the same moves that got us there in the first place. Challenge yourself to find new inspirations, and develop at least one new creative technique a month.

Step #10

Don't ever stop making music. One sure way to gain some level of success as a musician is simply to not stop being one. There is no one timetable or path to success. Most artists termed "overnight successes" are in reality years in the making. If you find yourself approaching the creative act of making music as a chore, what is the point in that? Some of the most successful musicians out there are people who simply never stopped making their own music, performing it regularly, and finding a comfortable way to go about doing the business of their music. They could not not make music. Are you that passionate? Would a part of you die without your being able to make your music? If so, just keep doing it, the rest will follow.

Original article from Skope Magazine

Check us out on Twitter and tweet about us and Grisly BK at #entirelypr

We are back at in here on a cold Wednesday in New England and it is so good to be live Today we have an emcee and a man that admire in that he is true to himself through his life and music. While so many others fabricate & tell lies, Grisly BK gives it to you raw and you have no choice then to embrace him and his sound. Join us today as we talk with this man about groeing up in Brooklyn, the TX church massacre, reaching new fans, and so much more!

Stoli: Where are we talking from today and what’s up for the holidays?

We are Talking from my tractor trailer somewhere in PA. As for the Holidays getting paid as usual. I own my own Rig and move freight up and down the east coast getting money. Anytime I move it’s got to be for the money, my family or Jah.

Stoli: Yesterday a mass murder took place in a Sunday church service. How do you feel about where our country is headed amongst such violence?

That shit that happened Texas was real Shitty. Rest in Peace to each and everyone that lost there lives in that brutal Home Grown Terroristic act. A lot of times it is your own people that do it to you. When the Asshole drove that truck over the people on Halloween, I went down there to show support for my city of New York. We was over 1,000,000 Strong. Mankind is Ruthless by Nature anywhere on earth especially when you give us restrictions. America as a Country was built on lies. So until we can rid it of political deception, misdirection, racism and take accountability for those mishandling of funds then we will not improve.

Stoli: What emcees did you grow up on and when did music become more than a hobby?

I grew up on gangster music. I came up in the crack era. Niggas like Kool G Rap is What I listened to. I really like Kidd and Play. At one time they were my favorite rap group. I still love and watch their movies in it’s entirety. I would recite their lyrics. Kidd was really nice with his word Play. “Like That right”.. Got them both in a sentence without associating them. I think I fell in love with it then. The Fresh Prince Thinking he could beat Mike Tyson pushed my love for rap even further I loved the stories. Slick Rick had stories, Biggies stories were Phenomenal and unparalleled. Pac will always be One of the greats. M.O.P. is my favorite Rap Group “For Ever and Always” which is also a song by them. It’s not because they lived up the hill from my Projects Marcus Garvey. It’s because They rep Brooklyn so hard and the music truly represents my life.

Stoli: How did you gain the alias Grisly BK and how does that represent your music?

I was GaneGrene for a while but other niggas had that name. My nigga call me GaneGrisly or BroMan from the 5 floor. Grisly Bashskullin is what I been going by for the past Decade. I told the publicist Bashskullin was difficult to pronounce. He said why not Grisly NY I told him Grisly Bk is perfect. I was toying with the Bk part for over a year. I still go by Bashskullin. I like Bashskullin better. Grisly Bk is easier for people to pronounce. You can call me either one.

Rappin was something I started doing in 1995. I realized that I was really dope in 1996 because I would get crazy reactions from other kids in class. They would have me rap to other people in school and then I had to top what I said last time so I became a rap addict. I pursued a rap career on and off throughout life. I actually preferred to live it more than rap it. Between living that street life, getting locked up, working to build a successful company, winning and losing I wasn’t going after it. I wasn’t chasing it. I was already moving and traveling to nice places, going to insane parties from High School til now. I wasn’t missing anything. Check my IG I was partying with pretty girls on Halloween. Those Terrorist ain’t stop us and our function.

Stoli: How did growing up in Brooklyn, NY help shape you as a man and an emcee today?

Growing up in Brooklyn was tough. I had a gun in one hand and a bible in the other. the Gun was protection and the Bible was also Protection. They both helped me convey my story. I was handed the streets and at the same time Belief.

The street: My pops put a gun in my hand at 8 years old. Belief: I was raised a Jehovah’s Witness. I am sitting in the Kingdom Hall which is my place of worship and my pops would tell me to pass him his gun or get clip and bullets from out his coat pocket and give it to my Brother who years later got murdered. That’s what made me grow up quick. It also heavily influenced. We were the ones that carried guns in church. That was the merger right there. The incident that happened in Texas would’ve never happened to us. R.I.P to those unfortunate ones in Texas.

Stoli: When you are not making music what other things do you do like work/family/school, etc?

I am always making music, even when I’m driving my Rig up and down I-95 I make some crazy music because I see crazy shit. All kinds of AssHoles getting into accidents, backing up traffic with their dumbasses. Yep always making music.

Stoli: You have made a solid following for your brand, what are the most effective means you learned to keep and reach new fans?

I reach new fans by being myself. My brother Scarsazi knew I wanted to be like him so he told me to be myself. I have a limited filter so I tend to say some crazy shit and the fans seem to like it

I am Grisly Bk forever. I bring to you my stories of the dead shitting their pants right before death when you discover a Grisly Crime Scene. At the same time bein myself wearing my Grisly BK clothes.

Stoli: I really admire you style & image. How important is it to how you look and appear in front of the masses?

My music is a Grisly Crime Scene. When I rap, If you listen instead of jumping, you will hear the Grisly in the lines. My music is exquisitely gritty. It’s like you’re walking down the stairs of a dark basement with a gun to the back of your head. I like to make dark music upbeat. I want people jumping up and down wildin out at my shows.

Stoli: Your catalog on Soundcloud is fire. Does it bother you that fans can stream music for free or do you see it as promo?

Thanks 4 da kind Words Bigup Bigups. It doesn’t bother me. Each and every song I make is full adrenaline so the Fans are gonnna fuck with it regardless.

Stoli: If you could work with 1 artist of any genre who would that be and why?

I would like to do a Crazy Ganster song will KooGRap and Scarface. I would also like to make a song for potheads with Snoop Dogg, Devin da Dude and Wiz kalifa.

Stoli: 2018 is coming soon. What are 2 music goals you are pursuing?

Grisly Bk should be at S.O.B’s Live January 25 2018 and in More magazines, music videos, comedy eyythang. I Also wanna shut down festavals hopefully.

Stoli: What is coming up for Grilsy BK and where you @ online?

You can find my @IG @Grislybk1

5 Intriguing Letters To A 17th-Century Advice Column

Original article taken from

In London in 1690, John Dunton founded the Athenian Mercury, a magazine to answer “all the most nice and curious questions.” It was the world’s first advice column.Any literate person could write in with questions on subjects ranging from the philosophical to the scientific to the personal. One man asked where the wind came from. Another asked for advice concerning the drunkenness of his wife. In one memorable submission, a man asked why a horse’s “fundament” was round yet it emitted an “oblong excrement.

5. Young Men Back Then Had Similar Concerns To Those Of Today

Q. It is my misfortune to be red-haired. I love a lady who has the greatest aversion imaginable to that colored hair. I love her to distraction and have sufficient hope of obtaining her were this obstacle removed.I don’t expect a perfect alteration of the hair. I only beg you would direct me in such a method as may make it brown for 15 or 16 days so that neither sweat nor rain will efface it, and then to repeat it again, for if she discovers it at any time after marriage, her aversion will be equally fatal to me.A. We fancy it can’t be impossible to have your hair stained or dyed by a skillful painter with ingredients so strong as it would never out till that crop were off the ground. For the rest of the hair, since it will be every day peeping out and in a little while your head will be like a bullfinch’s, of two colors, in which case we know no remedy but to repeat the operation

4. Cure For Hearing Voices

Q. There is a gentleman who has for a long time been possessed with a fancy that people are continually talking to him with an audible voice, sometimes one, sometimes another, who threaten to destroy him one way or another. Now, gentlemen, your opinion is desired, whether it be possible for persons to discourse with him at a great distance and in such manner as not to be heard by some friends near him who have the sense of hearing quick enough? Whence this fancy proceeds, and what means are proper to cure and remove it?A. We have heard a great many plausible stories of men conversing with spirits, but we neither see how it can be performed nor can positively prove the contrary.Yet are most apt to believe the notion proceeds from some distempers in the brain and is nothing else but the effect of a melancholy fancy which is often caused by the indisposition of the body and sometimes by want for agreeable conversation. But however it comes, the best way to remove it is by taking physic (medicine), walking abroad, and frequenting agreeable company.

3. A Clairvoyant Dog

Q. I desire your opinion of the following relation: My father had a dog which he kept a great many years, in which time I had two brothers and one sister that died, and it was observed that this dog always the day before they died, went about [90 meters (300 ft)] from the house and laid his nose toward the church where they are all buried and howled in a strange, hideous manner for an hour or more at a time, and when my father died, he did the same. Now it seems as if this dog had some prophetic knowledge in these matters. Gentlemen, your opinion would much oblige.[3]A. We can’t tell what to make of hundreds of such instances as these, some of which we ourselves are assured are true. All we can say is, there must be something in it not natural since what power in nature has a dog more than any other creature to foresee (or rather foresmell) such accidents.

2. Not The Best Husband

Q. I’m a married man, but having a very ill wife, have been parted from her for some years, and design never to live with her more. Now I desire your advice whether I may pray to God to take her to himself, that I may endeavor to make myself happy in another.A. Sure if she’s fit for heaven, she’s fit for you; and if she were as good while you lived with her as she is now, how came you to part? It would yet be handsomer to submit to God’s will and wait with patience, or rather pray that he’d convert her, than take her away in such a condition.

1. Or The Best Wife

Q. I have been married (God help me) to a pretended widow who keeps a public house for five years. She drinks herself very plentifully and extremely abuses me when she’s drunk, nor can I excuse her when she’s sober, which does not often happen. She gives me very scurrilous language—rascal, cuckold—and this before all the company that comes to her house. I can’t call it mine for I must confess it is she that wears the breeches. She takes all the money that’s spent in the house and won’t allow me one penny. She has already conveyed several hundred pounds out of the house, which she’ll give me no account of, but declares she’ll run me in debt as much as possible, on purpose, that I may rot and starve in a Gaol (O loving spouse). For charity, I beg your advice how, if possible, I may reduce her to a better mind.

A. Alas! If one-half of this be true, thou art in a very woeful pickle and require the charitable assistance of all well-disposed husbands. We’ll be short in our advice—for mending your good spouse, we think it is impossible unless as we mend an old coat with a new one.Your way, therefore, is to get three or four lusty, honest fellows into the house with ye, take your dearly beloved and mew her up in some garret till you have sold off house and household stuff, and retire somewhere or other into the country that she may not find ye (as you value your nose, ears, and all the rest of your movables) and there make much of yourself at a safer distance from her, since she has, it seems, feathered her nest so well already that there’s no fear of so good a creatures wanting.

The Importance of a YouTube Channel for Your Music Business:

Original article at

Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest. We all know that social media marketing is the way forward. But if you’re involved in music, there is really only one social network you should be using. YouTube is booming in popularity - 3 billion hours of video are watched every month – so if you’re not sharing videos, you’re missing out.

Whether you’re a musician, mogul, or marketer; your music business should have a YouTube Channel. It’s free to sign up, easy to fill out your profile, and you can get sharing video content in a matter of minutes. Sharing your content with audiences the world over has never been easier.

Why Get a YouTube Channel?
In a world where record companies have been replaced by independent musicians, YouTube is playing a vital role. Hundreds of singers, such as Justin Beiber and Esmee Denters, have bagged a record deal after being scouted on YouTube.

Video content is perfect for the fast-paced World Wide Web. It is shareable, relatable, and easy to go viral. So even if you’re not an aspiring singer, you can still promote your music-based business with a YouTube channel.

Like many other social networking sites, you can also interact with your audience. People who view you videos can leave comments, ‘like’ and ‘dislike’ what they see, and share the video with friends. This gives you a great platform to communicate with the people who will be buying your products.

5 Tips for Video Sharing Success
Sharing a video online is really easy. Not only can you put your video on YouTube, but you can embed it into blog posts and share on your other social media profiles. But putting the content ‘out there’ often isn’t enough to make an impact.

If you’re a YouTube newbie, we’ve compiled a number of top tips for video sharing success. Whether you’re looking to go viral, or just share something with your loyal fan-base, these are some tips you should follow:

1. Brand Your Channel

You customise your Facebook fan page, and Twitter profile. You should make sure you take the opportunity to brand your YouTube channel. Walmart is one company who’ve really taken advantage of the customisation features.

Keeping a consistent brand identity across all your social media pages is a great way to make you instantly recognisable. If you’re a business or an artist, you need to stand out from the crowd. Making your channel stand out is one of the ways to do this.

2. Sharable Content

The key to YouTube success is uploading videos that people will share. Upload content that people want to see, and you’ll be able to reap the benefits. If you’re an artist, why not upload a cover of the ‘song of the moment’ to help raise your profile?

If you’re selling instruments, make your promotional videos interesting. Relate them to something current, and put your own unique spin on them. Whatever your role in the music business, make sure the content you put out there is unique, exciting, and entertaining.

3. Tag Your Videos

Like Pinterest, Flickr, and your blog; YouTube has a ‘tag’ feature, and you should be making the most of it. Make sure to tag your video with anything and everything that is relevant – including any slang terms (e.g. if your video is about a dog tag ‘pooch’ too). This will increase the visibility of your video.

The more visible the video, the more likely it is to be shared. You should also make the most of the YouTube categories, placing your content in the most relevant places. This again, will help make sure the right people see your videos.

4. Regular and Consistent Updates

Social media is a great way to raise your profile, and build a fan base. But it doesn’t happen overnight. So if you’ve worked hard to build up a YouTube community, you should make an effort to regularly update the channel.

You should also make an effort to reply to as many comments as you can. Obviously if you have thousands of subscribers this may be impossible. You should however, make sure you have an obvious and active presence.

5. Analyse Your Analytics

YouTube offers free analytics through its ‘insights’ feature. You can quickly and easily see loads of valuable information about every video you’ve uploaded. This includes a demographic overview of the people who’ve viewed your video, and how they found you. This will help you when it comes to creating future content so make sure you use this feature.

American Horror Story "Drink the Kool Aid" Blog

Written by Jasen Keplinger

American Horror Story fans were in for a treat with this week's episode titled "Drink the Kool Aid". Technically it was a Halloween episode, although AHS didn't make reference to the holiday during the episode.

The episode begins as Kai (Peters) recounts the great history behind previous cults' mass suicides including Heaven's Gate, Waco, and Jim Jones. He then asks his followers would they be willing to make the ultimate sacrifice. Well would they?

Kai later proceeds to bring in a container of Kool Aid and several cups. The women (Porter, Lourd, Pill, and Paulson) are brought in and made to drink or be shot. Everyone in the room drinks and only then does Kai reveal there's no poison. He only wanted to test their faith.

Ally and Ivy (Paulson and Pill) finally speak once again after Ally shockingly joined the cult last episode. At first they seem to be getting along, that is until they are in their own house again. Ally lovingly makes dinner, pours wine, and discusses how she felt about Ivy's betrayal. Only then does she reveal she has actually poisoned Ivy and proceeds to watch her die.

Who the baby daddy? Fans may be asking this in regards to Ally's son Osmodeous, especially after last episode. Kai spins a web of tales to Ally saying that he was actually the sperm donor that Ally was impregnated with a few years ago. He wants to rattle and control her, although Ally turns the tables by doing her own investigating. She uncovers that Kai is NOT the father although she figures why not let him think he really is. So, she doctors her file to make it appear Kai really is the father and presents the file to him.

AHS fans only have a few more episodes left in this season. It will be interesting to see where this story leads. I have a few predictions myself!!

5 Crazy Conspiracy Theories & Videos

1. The Mandela Effect

Similar false memories are sometimes shared by multiple people. For example, a somewhat commonly reported false memory is that the name of the Berenstain Bears was once spelled Berenstein.

Another reported example is the speech Sally Field gave accepting her second Oscar for her starring role in the 1984 drama Places in the Heart. Field's gushing acceptance speech is widely misremembered and has since been parodied as excessive. She said, "I haven't had an orthodox career, and I've wanted more than anything to have your respect. The first time I didn't feel it, but this time I feel it—and I can't deny the fact that you like me, right now, you like me!" Field was actually making a humorous reference to dialog from her role in Norma Rae, but many people missed the connection and have widely misquoted her as saying, "You like me! You really like me!"

Another reported example is the widespread occurrence of false memories of a movie titled Shazaam and starring the comedian Sinbad; such false memories may be the product of a confluence of factors such as the presence of a character named Sinbad in The Thousand and One Nights, the casting of Shaquille O'Neal as a genie in the similarly named 1996 film Kazaam, and cross-race effects increasing the likelihood that non-members of a given ethnic group will mistake members of that group for each other even when those members' appearances are so dissimilar as to be easily distinguishable by most other members of that group.

One study examined people who were familiar with the clock at Bologna Centrale railway station, which had been damaged in the Bologna massacre of 1980. In the study, 92% falsely remembered that the clock had remained stopped since the bombing; in fact, the clock was repaired shortly after the attack but was again stopped 16 years later as a symbolic commemoration.

In 2010 this phenomenon of collective false memory was dubbed the "Mandela Effect" by self-described "paranormal consultant" Fiona Broome, in reference to a false memory she reports, of the death of South African leader Nelson Mandela in the 1980s (rather than in 2013 when he actually died), which she claims is shared by "perhaps thousands" of other people. Broome has speculated about alternate realities as an explanation, but most commentators suggest that these are instead examples of false memories shaped by similar factors affecting multiple people, such as social reinforcement of incorrect memories, or false news reports and misleading photographs influencing the formation of memories based on them.

02. Reptoid Hypothesis

The Draco constellation from Firmamentum Sobiescianum sive Uranographia (1690) by Johannes Hevelius. Icke's "reptoid hypothesis" posits that humanity is ruled by descendants of reptilians from Draco.

In his ancient-astronaut narrative, Icke argues that humanity has been genetically manipulated by the Babylonian Brotherhood, a hybrid race of human–extraterrestrial reptilians, also known as the Illuminati. He briefly introduced the extraterrestrial hypothesis in The Robot's Rebellion (1994), citing Bill Cooper's Behold a Pale Horse (1991), and expanded it in And the Truth Shall Set You Free (1995), citing Barbara Marciniak's Bringers of the Dawn (1992).

In The Biggest Secret (1999), Icke identified the Brotherhood as descendants of reptilians from the constellation Draco, who live in caverns inside the earth. They are the deities known as the Anunnaki in the Babylonian creation myth, Enûma Eliš, and the fallen angels, the Watchers, who mated with human women in the Biblical apocrypha. He said in an interview:

When you get back into the ancient world, you find this recurring theme of a union between a non-human race and humans—creating a hybrid race.

From 1998, I started coming across people who told me they had seen people change into a non-human form. It's an age-old phenomenon known as shape-shifting. The basic form is like a scaly humanoid, with reptilian rather than humanoid eyes.

Robertson writes that Icke's reptilian idea is adapted from Zecharia Sitchin's The 12th Planet (1976), combined with material from Credo Mutwa, a Zulu healer.[132] Sitchin suggested that the Anunnaki came to Earth for its precious metals. Icke maintains that they came for monatomic gold, a non-existent mineral (only gases can exist in a monatomic state) that, he writes, increases the capacity of the nervous system ten thousandfold. After ingesting it, the reptilians can process vast amounts of information, speed up trans-dimensional travel, and shapeshift from reptilian to human.

The first reptilian-human breeding programmes took place 200,000–300,000 years ago (perhaps creating Adam), and the third (and latest) 7,000 years ago. The hybrids of the third programme, more Anunnaki than human, today control the world: "The Brotherhood which controls the world today is the modern expression of the Babylonian Brotherhood of reptile-Aryan priests and 'royalty' which came together there after the flood."By "Aryan" he explains that he means "white"; this includes most Jews, whom he regards as having originated in the Caucasus.

Brotherhood aims and institutions

At the apex of the Babylonian Brotherhood stands the Global Elite, and at the top of the Global Elite are the Prison Wardens. The goal of the Brotherhood, their "Great Work of Ages", is a microchipped population and fascist[not in citation given] world government.

The Brotherhood created and controls the United Nations, International Monetary Fund, Round Table, Council on Foreign Relations, Chatham House, Club of Rome, Royal Institute of International Affairs, Trilateral Commission and Bilderberg Group, as well as the media, military, CIA, Mossad, science, religion and the Internet, with witting or unwitting support from the London School of Economics.

As of 2003, the reptilian bloodline encompassed 43 American presidents, three British and two Canadian prime ministers, several Sumerian kings and Egyptian pharaohs, and a smattering of celebrities. Key bloodlines are the Rockefellers, Rothschilds, various European aristocratic families, the establishment families of the Eastern United States, and the British House of Windsor. Icke confirmed to Andrew Neil in May 2016 that he believes the British Royal Family are shapeshifting lizards.[12] He identified the Queen Mother in 2001 as "seriously reptilian", and said he had seen Ted Heath's eyes turn black while the two waited for a Sky News interview in 1989.Lewis and Kahn argue that Icke is using allegory to depict the alien, and alienating, nature of global capitalism. Icke has said he is not using allegory.

It is alleged that the reptilians not only come from another planet, but are also from another dimension, the lower level of the fourth dimension (the "lower astral dimension"), the one nearest the physical world. Barkun argues that the introduction of different dimensions allows Icke to skip awkward questions about how the reptilians got here. Icke writes that the universe consists of an infinite number of dimensions that share the same space, just like television and radio frequencies. Some people can tune their consciousness to other wavelengths, and it is from one of these other dimensions that the Anunnaki control the planet, although just as fourth-dimensional reptilians control us, they in turn are controlled by a fifth dimension.

Icke writes that the Brotherhood uses human anxiety as energy. "Thus we have the encouragement of wars," he wrote in 1999, "human genocide, the mass slaughter of animals, sexual perversions which create highly charged negative energy, and black magic ritual and sacrifice which takes place on a scale that will stagger those who have not studied the subject."

In Tales From The Time Loop (2003), Icke argues that the reptilians create religious, racial, ethnic and sexual division to divide and conquer humanity. Incidents and issues he attributes to the Global Elite include the Oklahoma City bombing, Dunblane, Columbine, 9/11, 7/7, global warming, chemtrails, water fluoridation, and Agenda 21.The incidents allow the reptilians to respond in whatever way they intended to act in the first place, a concept Icke calls "order out of chaos" or "problem–reaction–solution". One of their methods is to create fake opposites, or "opposames", such as the Axis and Allied powers of World War II.The movement of societies toward totalitarianism because of these conflicts he calls "totalitarian tiptoe".

Red Dresses

Image by Neil Hague from Icke's Infinite Love is the Only Truth (2005), showing Queen Elizabeth II, George W. Bush and Tony Blair as Red Dresses, the highest level of the Brotherhood.
In Infinite Love is the Only Truth (2005), Icke introduces his three categories of people. The Brotherhood are "interactive software programs", or "Red Dresses". They lack consciousness and free will, and their human bodies are holographic veils.A second group, the "sheeple" (the vast majority of humanity), are conscious, but do as they are told and are the Brotherhood's main energy source. They include the "repeaters", people in positions of influence who repeat what other people tell them; he cites doctors, teachers and journalists as examples.

The third and smallest group are those who see through the illusion; they are usually dubbed dangerous or mad. The Red Dress genetic lines interbreed obsessively to make sure their bloodlines are not weakened by the second or third levels of consciousness, because consciousness can rewrite the software.

Saturn–Moon Matrix

The Moon Matrix is introduced in Human Race Get Off Your Knees: The Lion Sleeps No More (2010), in which Icke suggests that the Earth and collective human mind are manipulated from the Moon, a spacecraft and inter-dimensional portal controlled by the reptilians. The Moon Matrix is a broadcast from that spacecraft to the human body–computer, specifically to the left hemisphere of the brain, which gives us our sense of reality: "We are living in a dreamworld within a dreamworld—a Matrix within the virtual-reality universe—and it is being broadcast from the Moon." Unless people force themselves to become fully conscious, their minds are the Moon's mind.

This idea is further explored in Icke's Remember Who You Are: Remember 'Where' You Are and Where You 'Come' From (2012), where he introduces the concept of the "Saturn–Moon Matrix". In this more recent conceptualization, the rings of Saturn (which Icke believes were artificially created by reptilian spacecraft) are the ultimate source of the signal, while the Moon functions as an amplifier.

03. MK Ultra

Project MKUltra, also called the CIA mind control program, is the code name given to a program of experiments on human subjects, at times illegal, designed and undertaken by the United States Central Intelligence Agency. Experiments on humans were intended to identify and develop drugs and procedures to be used in interrogations and torture in order to weaken the individual to force confessions through mind control. Organized through the Scientific Intelligence Division of the CIA, the project coordinated with the Special Operations Division of the U.S. Army's Chemical Corps.

The operation began in the early 1950s, was officially sanctioned in 1953, was reduced in scope in 1964, further curtailed in 1967, and officially halted in 1973. The program engaged in many illegal activities, including the use of unwitting U.S. and Canadian citizens as its test subjects, which led to controversy regarding its legitimacy. MKUltra used numerous methodologies to manipulate people's mental states and alter brain functions, including the surreptitious administration of drugs (especially LSD) and other chemicals, hypnosis,[citation needed] sensory deprivation, isolation and verbal abuse, as well as other forms of psychological torture.

The scope of Project MKUltra was broad, with research undertaken at 80 institutions, including 44 colleges and universities, as well as hospitals, prisons, and pharmaceutical companies. The CIA operated through these institutions using front organizations, although sometimes top officials at these institutions were aware of the CIA's involvement. As the US Supreme Court later noted in CIA v. Sims 471 U.S. 159 (1985)  MKULTRA was: concerned with "the research and development of chemical, biological, and radiological materials capable of employment in clandestine operations to control human behavior." The program consisted of some 149 subprojects which the Agency contracted out to various universities, research foundations, and similar institutions. At least 80 institutions and 185 private researchers participated. Because the Agency funded MKUltra indirectly, many of the participating individuals were unaware that they were dealing with the Agency.

Although the Supreme Court sided with the CIA that sources' names could be redacted for their protection, it nonetheless validated the existence of MKULTRA to be used in future court cases and confirmed that the CIA for 14 years performed clandestine experiments on human behavior.

Between 1953 and 1966, the Central Intelligence Agency financed a wide-ranging project, code-named MKULTRA, concerned with the research and development of chemical, biological, and radiological materials capable of employment in clandestine operations to control human behavior.

Project MKUltra was first brought to public attention in 1975 by the Church Committee of the U.S. Congress, and a Gerald Ford commission to investigate CIA activities within the United States. Investigative efforts were hampered by the fact that CIA Director Richard Helms ordered all MKUltra files destroyed in 1973; the Church Committee and Rockefeller Commission investigations relied on the sworn testimony of direct participants and on the relatively small number of documents that survived Helms' destruction order.

In 1977, a Freedom of Information Act request uncovered a cache of 20,000 documents relating to project MKUltra, which led to Senate hearings later that same year. In July 2001, some surviving information regarding MKUltra was declassified.

04. Phantom Time Hypothesis

The phantom time hypothesis is a historical conspiracy theory asserted by Heribert Illig. First published in 1991, the hypothesis proposes a conspiracy by the Holy Roman Emperor Otto III, Pope Sylvester II, and possibly the Byzantine Emperor Constantine VII, to fabricate the Anno Domini dating system retrospectively, so that it placed them at the special year of AD 1000, and to rewrite history to legitimize Otto's claim to the Holy Roman Empire. Illig believed that this was achieved through the alteration, misrepresentation, and forgery of documentary and physical evidence. According to this scenario, the entire Carolingian period, including the figure of Charlemagne, is a fabrication, with a "phantom time" of 297 years (AD 614–911) added to the Early Middle Ages. The proposal has found no favour among mainstream medievalists.

Heribert Illig

Illig was born in 1947 in Vohenstrauß, Bavaria. He was active in an association dedicated to Immanuel Velikovsky, catastrophism and historical revisionism, Gesellschaft zur Rekonstruktion der Menschheits- und Naturgeschichte. From 1989 to 1994 he acted as editor of the journal Vorzeit-Frühzeit-Gegenwart. Since 1995, he has worked as a publisher and author under his own publishing company, Mantis-Verlag, and publishing his own journal, Zeitensprünge. Outside of his publications related to revised chronology, he has edited the works of Egon Friedell.

Before focusing on the early medieval period, Illig published various proposals for revised chronologies of prehistory and of Ancient Egypt. His proposals received prominent coverage in German popular media in the 1990s. His 1996 Das erfundene Mittelalter also received scholarly recensions, but was universally rejected as fundamentally flawed by historians. In 1997, the journal Ethik und Sozialwissenschaften offered a platform for critical discussion to Illig's proposal, with a number of historians commenting on its various aspects. After 1997, there has been little scholarly reception of Illig's ideas, although they continued to be discussed as pseudohistory in German popular media. Illig continued to publish on the "phantom time hypothesis" until at least 2013. Also in 2013, he published on an unrelated topic of art history, on German Renaissance master Anton Pilgram, but again proposing revisions to conventional chronology, and arguing for the abolition of the art historical category of Mannerism.

The bases of Illig's hypothesis include:

The scarcity of archaeological evidence that can be reliably dated to the period AD 614–911, the perceived inadequacies of radiometric and dendrochronological methods of dating this period, and the over-reliance of medieval historians on written sources.

The presence of Romanesque architecture in tenth-century Western Europe, suggesting the Roman era was not as long ago as conventionally thought.

The relation between the Julian calendar, Gregorian calendar and the underlying astronomical solar or tropical year. The Julian calendar, introduced by Julius Caesar, was long known to introduce a discrepancy from the tropical year of around one day for each century that the calendar was in use. By the time the Gregorian calendar was introduced in AD 1582, Illig alleges that the old Julian calendar should have produced a discrepancy of thirteen days between it and the real (or tropical) calendar. Instead, the astronomers and mathematicians working for Pope Gregory XIII had found that the civil calendar needed to be adjusted by only ten days. (The Julian calendar day Thursday, 4 October 1582 was followed by the first day of the Gregorian calendar, Friday, 15 October 1582). From this, Illig concludes that the AD era had counted roughly three centuries which never existed.

05. Georgia Guide Stones

The Georgia Guidestones is a granite monument erected in 1980 in Elbert County, Georgia, in the United States. A set of 10 guidelines is inscribed on the structure in eight modern languages, and a shorter message is inscribed at the top of the structure in four ancient language scripts.

The monument stands at an approximate elevation of 750 feet above sea level, about 90 miles (140 km) east of Atlanta, 45 miles (72 km) from Athens, and 9 miles (14 km) north of the center of the city of Elberton.

One slab stands in the center, with four arranged around it. A capstone lies on top of the five slabs, which are astronomically aligned. An additional stone tablet, which is set in the ground a short distance to the west of the structure, provides some notes on the history and purpose of the guidestones. The structure is sometimes referred to as an "American Stonehenge". The monument is 19 feet 3 inches (5.87 m) tall, made from six granite slabs weighing 237,746 pounds (107,840 kg) in all. The designer and meaning of the guidestones are unknown, leading to speculation and conspiracy theory.

The stones defaced with polyurethane paint and graffiti
In June 1979, a man using the pseudonym Robert C. Christian approached the Elberton Granite Finishing Company on behalf of "a small group of loyal Americans", and commissioned the structure. Christian explained that the stones would function as a compass, calendar and clock, and should be capable of withstanding catastrophic events. Joe Fendley of Elberton Granite assumed that Christian was "a nut" and attempted to discourage him by giving a quote several times higher than any project the company had taken, explaining that the guidestones would require additional tools and consultants. Christian accepted the quote. When arranging payment, Christian explained that he represented a group which had been planning the guidestones for 20 years, and which intended to remain anonymous.

Christian delivered a scale model of the guidestones and ten pages of specifications. The five-acre land was apparently purchased by Christian on October 1, 1979 from farm owner Wayne Mullinex. Mullinex and his children were given lifetime cattle grazing rights on the guidestones site. The monument was unveiled on March 22, 1980, before an audience variously described as 100 or 400 people. Christian later transferred ownership of the land and the guidestones to Elbert County.

In 2008, the stones were defaced with polyurethane paint and graffiti with slogans such as "Death to the new world order". Wired magazine called the defacement "the first serious act of vandalism in the guidestones' history". In September 2014, an employee of the Elbert County maintenance department contacted the FBI when the stones were vandalized with graffiti including the phrase "I Am Isis, goddess of love".

A message consisting of a set of ten guidelines or principles is engraved on the Georgia Guidestones in eight different languages, one language on each face of the four large upright stones. Moving clockwise around the structure from due north, these languages are: English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese, and Russian.

10 Captivating Fan Theories About Movie Endings And Twists

Original article from

Warning: If you haven’t seen these movies, there are spoilers ahead. But c’mon, you know you want to read them anyway. These fan theories are too cool to miss. So, without further ado, let’s get to it.

The Mist

Imagine hearing the noises of horrifying monsters all around you as they hunt you down, but you can’t see them because of thick mist. Then imagine coming to the realization that no matter what you do, you can’t escape. You flee with your son and three other passengers by car, only to run out of gas.

The monsters are still around, hidden by the mist. So you do the unthinkable. You shoot your son and the other passengers with the four bullets loaded in your gun. Then you get out of the car while shouting at the monsters to come and get you.

Something rumbles through a crack in the mist. As it becomes clearer, you see that instead of a monster, it is an army tank picking up survivors. Soldiers are shooting down the creatures as the tank rolls along . . .
That is the ending of The Mist, the movie adaptation of Stephen King’s novella by the same name. Many movie fans still believe that this is the most shocking movie ending they have ever seen. There are also many questions surrounding the events of the movie, such as where the monsters actually came from and why the little boy had to be killed.

A thought-provoking fan theory explains that the little boy had to die as a sacrifice to placate the gods so that they would destroy the monsters. During the movie, a female religious zealot wanted the boy killed as a sacrifice to God for the people’s sins. The theory has it that this is exactly what happened at the end when the boy was shot by his father. The boy became a sacrifice that led to the soldiers arriving to save the other people.

An extension of the theory is that the Netflix hit show Stranger Things is a prelude to The Mist. This would explain where the monsters came from in The Mist. It is also thought that the Upside Down in Stranger Things translates to the mist in the film being a cross-dimensional void.[ A portal is opened by the military in the movie, allowing the monsters to cross over to our dimension.

It didn’t take long for a fan theory to settle around this reveal. Since Kevin’s father got on a train and never returned to his son, it is thought that it must be the same train that was derailed by Mr. Glass in Unbreakable
This would mean that Kevin’s dad never returned home because he died in the crash and Mr. Glass then opened the door for a supervillain to be created.M. Night Shyamalan definitely got his groove back with Split. This horror-thriller is about Kevin Wendell Crumb, a man with 23 different personalities who abducts three teenage girls.

Eventually, it is revealed that Kevin also has a 24th personality called “The Beast.” However, the real twist comes at the end when there is a cameo by Bruce Willis (aka David Dunn) from the movie Unbreakable
Therefore, Split and Unbreakable play out in the same universe/setting.[2]With any luck, this theory will be either proven or debunked in the upcoming 2019 movie Glass which will be promoted as a sequel to Unbreakable.

When Jack sank below the freezing waters of the Atlantic Ocean in Titanic, moviegoers were shocked. Why couldn’t Rose have just scooched up a bit on the massive door and let Jack climb on it, too?
Director James Cameron chimed in on the argument by saying that Jack wouldn’t have survived even if he had managed to tie both his and Rose’s life vests to the door to help it float better. (This was in response to a MythBusters experiment.)

Fans took the argument a lot further by inventing the theory that Jack never existed in the first place. Instead, he was a figment of Rose’s imagination that appeared during especially trying times.

The theory goes that she had a mental breakdown on the Titanic which led her to hang off the back of the ship, ready to jump. Enter Jack Dawson. He becomes everything that Rose’s awful fiance is not. Jack becomes the embodiment of Rose’s strength during the times she stands up to Cal. Jack becomes her inner voice urging her to break free.

The theory gains traction when elderly Rose said at the end that there wouldn’t be any evidence of Jack’s existence: “He exists now only in my memory.”

Drag Me To Hell

Drag Me to Hell was a gross comedy-horror. Think bodily fluids landing in the protagonist’s mouth and the creepiest old lady chewing on her chin, and you’ll have the gist of it. However, in spite of all the satire, the movie ends shockingly. The main character, Christine, is dragged off to hell while her boyfriend can do nothing but stand and watch.

A theory about this film reared its head not long after the movie was released. Instead of Christine being stalked by the old lady, Christine is actually hallucinating because she is starving herself as she is terrified of being overweight. When she dreams of being vomited on, it is actually Christine who is vomiting up the little food she may have eaten throughout the day. As soon as food appears in a scene, Christine is attacked or scared by the old woman.

It is generally thought that Christine is dragged to hell at the end because the curse placed on her by the old woman at the beginning of the movie was never broken. According to some theories, however, Christine is actually dying of starvation at the end or committing suicide because of depression stemming from her eating disorder.

The Twilight Saga- Breaking Dawn Part 2

The fight sequence at the end of
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn–Part 2was both shocking to hard-core fans as well as a major plot hole. It was shocking because Aro was suddenly holding up Carlisle’s decapitated headand then things just escalated from there to the demise of Esme, Jasper, and Leah.

The plot hole came in the form of Alice being able to see this entire event as a vision even though she had previously been prevented from seeing the future when the werewolves were nearby. For example, she couldn’t see Bella being saved from the water after she jumped off a cliff because Jacob was the one who saved her. So it was rather strange that Alice could suddenly see the futures of vampires and werewolves at the same time.
According to one fan theory, the rules may have changed for Alice because a strong bond formed between the wolf and the child when Jacob imprinted on Renesmee, the half-human, half-vampire offspring of Edward and Bella. Another theory says that Alice was forced to be around the wolves more than she would have liked, so she tuned into their “frequency.” Eventually, this enabled her to overcome the blind spot in her gift.

The Thing

ambiguous ending of John Carpenter’s The Thing has given rise to many fan theories over the years. While R.J. MacReady fights the Thing, Childs is missing in action after running out into the snowstorm. After literally taking fire to the Thing, MacReady heads back to the ruined remainder of what used to be a base. Then Childs returns almost out of nowhere.

Suspecting that Childs may have been infected by the Thing, MacReady hands him a bottle of alcohol. Childs then takes a gulp of whatever is in the bottle. The End.

Many believe that Childs was now the Thing because they couldn’t see his breath at the end of the film while MacReady has puffs of air escaping from his mouth in the freezing temperature.

Another fan theory has it that Childs was wearing a different colored jacket at the end of the film, meaning that the Thing had taken possession of his body and ripped his previously worn clothes to shreds.

Yet another theory on reddit says that there was gasoline in the bottle that MacReady gave to Childs. As Childs had no reaction to the liquid, it means that he was indeed infected by the Thing.

The Shining

By far,
The Shininig has some of the most wacky fan and conspiracy theories floating around the Internet. Like The Thing the ending of the film is left open to interpretation.

A black-and-white photograph is shown at the end, featuring Jack Torrance at the Overlook Hotel in 1921. Of course, this should not be possible because the film in which Jack is the caretaker at the hotel is set 60 years in the future.

Popular theories include the possibility that Jack and the butler are continuously reincarnated to keep working at the hotel and, of course, time travel. Another fan theory claims that Jack is actually the Devil, considering that his pose on the photo is strikingly similar to that of the tarot card of Baphomet.

However, the whole movie seems to bring the conspiracies to the surface. One well-known theory is that director Stanley Kubrick left coded messages throughout the film as an apology for faking the Moon landings. Other theories include the film being about the Holocaust, mind control (courtesy of the CIA), or even the legendary Minotaur.

Taxi Driver

In Taxi Driver Travis Bickle is consumed by his rage toward Senator Charles Palantine and plans to assassinate him. However, Bickle is unable to go through with his plan after Secret Service agents notice him.
So Bickle focuses his rage on his ex-girlfriend as well as the whole of New York. He decides to attack and kill a bouncer at a brothel. By doing so, Bickle believes that he has rescued one of the prostitutes and given her a chance at escaping her life at the brothel.

When police catch up with Bickle, he is bloodied and aiming his own finger at his head as if to commit suicide
An overhead camera pans down the hallway to show corpses, more blood, and a crowd outside the apartment building.

The shot returns to Bickle’s apartment that now has newspaper clippings on the wall. They proclaim that Bickle has killed a Mafia leader and is now a local hero. In the last seconds of the film, Bickle is shown driving his ex home in his cab and then driving away.

According to the most popular theory about this ending, Bickle was mortally wounded in the shoot-out with police and the entire sequence leading to the end of the movie was just a vivid dream while Bickle was bleeding to death. A less popular theory says that the ending simply feeds America’s fascination with the morbid and bizarre. The psycho has now become a national hero.

The Witch

The Witch is a surprisingly disturbing horror film released in 2016. But as with most horror movies, people either love it or absolutely despise it.
Thomasin is a young member of a Puritan family who cannot escape her longing for worldly wealth and ultimately sells her soul to the Devil. This occurs after the awful deaths of her family and Thomasin murdering her own mother with a garden tool.

After Thomasin signs the Devil’s contract, she takes off her clothes and is led to a bonfire in the forest to join a group of naked, levitating women (a coven of witches). She starts levitating as well, and the screen fades to black.

A fan theory about everything turning out too dark for a Puritan girl emerged online in no time. This theory holds that Thomasin made herself an easy target for the Devil because she knew that she was corruptible and wanted to be saved from her fleshly desires. In other words, she was the easiest one to convince to join the dark side because of the already deep flaws in her belief system.

The Boy In The Stripped Pajamas

This movie features one of the saddest and most shocking endings in the history of film making. A young boy named Bruno moves with his Nazi father and mother to
Poland where his father can keep an eye on the concentration camp there.

In Poland, Bruno befriends a boy named Shmuel. He is a
prisoner in the concentration camp who manages to duck the soldiers to chat with his new friend, Bruno, through the fence that separates them.

Eventually, the boys devise a plan to steal a prisoner uniform for Bruno and dig a hole under the fence so that Bruno can visit Shmuel inside the camp. Unfortunately, just as Bruno enters the camp, he and Shmuel are herded into a gas chamber along with other prisoners.

A fan theory on reddit has it that right after the two boys meet for the first time, the movie actually turns into a ghost story. The theory states that the Nazi soldiers caught Shmuel chatting with Bruno and murdered him.

Shmuel returned to the fence as a ghost who then devises a plan to get Bruno inside, knowing that he would also be killed. It would either be out of anger after being killed or simply out of loneliness and wanting to have a ghost friend that Shmuel would have decided to ensure that his friend is murdered, too.
